"Snap and Save"
by Lois & Jim Goodwin

We would appreciate your assistance in the collection of these aluminum tabs to raise money to purchase wheelchairs for needy persons.

According to the Royal Canadian Legion, it take a staggering 2,500,000 tabs to purchase one average wheelchair.

Here are some statistics from Legion Br. 229 who have donated over 493 chairs:
How many tabs to a pound - there are approximately 1000 tabs to a pound.
How much money do they receive per lb. - 72 cents per lb.
How many tabs for a wheelchair - there are approximately 2 tons of tabs depending on the cost of the chair, the prices of chairs vary according to the individual need.

"Teddies for Needy Children"
by Margaret Graham

Calling all knitters!  Could you please spare an hour or two to knit a little teddy?
THIS IS AN ONGOING PROJECT.  THERE IS NO LIMIT ...

DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS who treat children in Third World countries are asking for knitted teddies as they have found that children who have a teddy to cuddle get better quicker than those who don't have one.  Each child keeps his/her own teddy to take home, so doctors need a continual supply.

They are very simple and quick to make and can be stuffed with toy and pillow stuffing.  If you can help with the making of these teddies it would be greatly appreciated.

For full knitting instructions, please contact Margaret.

As a Doctor in Sudan said ...
"They did more good to many of the children than the medicines".

Simply place your cartridge in the postage-paid green retrieval bags that were delivered with your order and deposit in the nearest mailbox.  That is all there is to it.

Please recycle your used inkjet cartridges and become a friend of the Canadian Special Olympics.

Thank you for your support.

If you need additional bags, please call KO-REC-TYPE at 1-800-268-9955 and let us know how many bags should be sent.
